Experience the exclusivity of Marbella beaches
One of Marbella's many attractions is its more than 27 km of coastline. Although any of its beaches can be the ideal destination for a day of sun, sand, and sea, certain places enjoy a touch of exclusivity that makes them especially attractive.
5 glamorous beaches in Marbella
The natural environment, the variety of services or the water quality are some of the characteristic features of the best beaches in Marbella. But if this corner of the Mediterranean stands out for something, it is for the exclusive atmosphere extending to some of its most popular beaches.
1. Nueva Andalucía
It is a succession of small coves that advance in a westerly direction from Puerto Banús. Its long promenade flanked by palm trees is a great place to eat on the beach or enjoy a cocktail watching the sunset. It is located in one of the most luxurious areas of Marbella, very close to the exclusive stores of Puerto Banús and such popular leisure facilities as Ocean Club.
2. Bounty Beach
For years, this has been the name by which Cable Beach is popularly known, a benchmark of luxury parties and nightlife. It is a beach with a rather youthful atmosphere, with spaces to play volleyball during the day and to enjoy music on summer nights. It also has one of the most charming beach bars in the area: La Dolce Vita. Balinese beds, hammocks, cocktails, and a gastronomic proposal with an Italian accent add flavor to the beach days.
3. Nagüeles Beach
For its location in the “Golden Mile” of Marbella, is one of the most glamorous beaches in the area. The wooden pier that goes into the sea gives a distinctive note to this beach, where you can find villas, restaurants, and luxury clubs. In fact, just a 10-minute walk away are two of the three restaurants chef Dani Garcia (three Michelin stars) has in Marbella: the Lobito de Mar, specializing in rice and seafood, and the Leña, for lovers of grilled meats.
4. Los Monteros Beach
A little further away from the centre, in a privileged location, is the Playa de los Monteros. It is barely half a kilometre long but has all the ingredients to enjoy a sensational day at the beach between crystal clear waters and fine white sand. Among the most outstanding services on this beach is the Freedom Kite School, which offers kite surfing equipment rental and introductory and advanced courses in this sport, as well as strapless, wing foil, and kite foil versions.
5. Alicate Beach
This is the favorite beach for those seeking extra privacy. The dunes and bushes on the back line provide excellent privacy. It is also where luxury boats choose to stop during their trips along the coast. The chic point is put by charming establishments such as Nosso Summer Club and its decoration with African touches, or Bono Beach Marbella, with an extensive area of Balinese beds and hammocks from which to enjoy its select menu with Asian influences.
